
Rockets in Third Place Following Day One of 2015 MAC Championship

LEBANON, OH – Senior Jennifer Elsholz is one of three Rockets in the Top 10 at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships and Toledo sits in third place following Friday's first round. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,191-yard Shaker Run Golf Course.
Elsholz is tied for fourth place after carding a team-best three-over par 75 to help UT post a team score of 20-over par 308. Ohio leads the 10-team field at 14-over par 302, two strokes ahead of second-place Kent State (304).
Joining Elsholz among the tourney leaders are senior Stephanie St- Jean and junior Manisa Isavas, who are tied for 10th place at five-over par 77. Junior Sathika Ruenreong, who leads the Rockets with a 74.4 stroke average, is tied for 21st place at eight-over par 80. Junior Morgan Salm rounds out the Toledo lineup tied for 41st place at 14-over par 86.

"We hung in there today on what was a tough golf course," Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth said. "We had three good scores today and hopefully we can get one more good round tomorrow."
Kent State sophomore Wad Phaewchimplee leads all individuals at even-under par 72. KSU junior Josee Doyon and Ohio senior Angela Codian are two strokes behind at two-over par 74.
The second round will be held on Saturday and the third and final round will be held on Sunday.
