Sophomore registers team-high three birdies today
BRYAN, Texas – Sophomore Valeria Lizcano led the Toledo women's golf team in Tuesday's second round of The 'Mo' Morial Invitational. The three-day tournament is being hosted by Texas A&M at the par-72, 6,450-yard Traditions Club.
Lizcano shot a four-over par 76 today and registered a team-high three birdies. She was two-over par before double-bogeying her final hole.
Sophomore Brooklyn Millard is tied for 45th place to lead the Rockets individually, with Lizcano two shots behind her and tied for 53rd place.
No. 24 Baylor is leading the 15-team field at 16-over par, one stroke in front of the host No. 3-ranked Aggies (+17) and six ahead of No. 35 Missouri (+22). The Tigers' Jade Zamora is leading all individuals at even-par.
The tournament's final round will begin tomorrow with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
