
Toledo in Ninth Place Following First Day of Talis Park Challenge; Black Tied for Top Spot Following 36 Holes

NAPLES, FL – Junior Otto Black is tied for the individual lead and Toledo sits in ninth place as a team following Sunday's first two rounds of the Talis Park Challenge. The tourney is being held at the par-71, 6,893 yard Talis Park Golf Club.
Black currently sits in a three-way tie for the top spot with Florida Gulf Coast's Jake Sherwin and Texas A&M's Adria Arnaus at seven-under par 135. The Pinckney, MI native fired a career-tying best four-under par 67 in the first round and followed it up with a three-under par 68 in the second round to hold a portion of the individual lead.
Senior Chris Selfridge joins Black in the Top 10 and is tied for seventh place at two-under par 140, while freshman Stephen Watts is tied for 25th place at two-over par 144.
Also competing for the Rockets are freshman Colin Joseph (77/82-80=162) and senior Mike Lancaster (78/86-79=165).
Defending champion No. 5 Vanderbilt leads the 15-team tourney at eight-under par 560, while No. 13 LSU is second at six-under par 562. Wichita State is third at two-under par 566, followed by No. 49 Texas A&M at one-under par 567.
The final 18 holes will begin on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
