AKRON, OH – Toledo tied for 10th place with a team score of 876 at the Firestone Invitational on Tuesday. The tournament was played at the renowned Firestone Country Club – North Course (Par-72, 7,125 Yards).

Senior Otto Black fired a one-under par 71 in today's final round to tie for second place at a collegiate-best eight-under par 208 (69-68-71). It marked Black's third Top 5 finish of the season and ninth of his Rocket career.

Sophomore Colin Joseph was the next closest Rocket at four-over par 220 (72-76-72) to finish tied for 43rd place. Immediately below Joseph were sophomore Stephen Watts (74-76-74) and freshman Spencer Shoemaker (76-75-73) at eight-over par 224 to stand tied for the 55th spot. Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were freshman Mike Lee at 12-over par 228 (76-76-76) and fellow newcomer Jamie Knipe at 19-over par 235 (83-76-76) to sit tied for 72nd and 85th place, respectively.

Maryland (284-285-287=856) edged out host Akron (290-283-285=858) by two strokes for the team title, while the Terrapins' David Kocher captured medalist honors with a score of nine-under par 207 (68-68-71).

UT will now travel to Carmel, IN to take part in the Crooked Stick Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 12-13.
