Rocket Tennis Hits the Road for MAC Invitational

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo men's tennis will travel to Kalamazoo, MI this weekend to compete in the MAC Indoor Invitational on Oct. 30-Nov. 1 hosted by Western Michigan at the West Hills Athletic Club.
The tournament will feature all six MAC teams and will use bracketed draws of seven flights for singles and two doubles matchups.
Play is scheduled to begin on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. and will start Saturday at 8:30 a.m. On the final day of competition, the tournament will conclude with matches beginning at 8:30 a.m.
"Our guys don't have a complete grasp on everything yet. We could have a phenomenal weekend. But regardless, we just need to keep working on areas of growth.
The Rockets have compiled a 36-25 overall record in singles play this fall, led by freshman Vince Anzalone who has won seven of his ten contests. Freshmen Luka Vitosevic and Danilo Pejovic have each compiled five victories and only one loss for the Midnight Blue & Gold.
In doubles action, UT has posted 16 wins and 11 losses. Sophomore Omar Espinosa paired up with Vitosevic to tally three victories this fall. Espinosa has an overall record of 6-4, while both Vitosevic and freshman Reid Teatorth have posted 5-3 records.

Toledo will conclude its fall tournament schedule next weekend at the USTA Futures $10,000 tournament on Nov. 6-15 in Niceville, FL.
