Rockets Welcome Arch-Rival Bowling Green to First Home Meet

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo women's swimming and diving hosts its first dual meet of the season this Friday, Oct. 30 when they welcome arch-rival Bowling Green to the UT Student Rec Center. The meet is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.

"It should be an exciting meet," said head coach Chris Peters. "It's a rivalry meet which is a lot of fun. They're a talented team and I can't wait to see how our girls match up. We've been training very well and look forward to the opportunity to race one of the top programs in our conference."

Last weeken, the Rockets matched up with Akron and Ball State in the first meet of the season where Toledo posted with 20 top-three finishes. Senior Brooke Edwards dominated the 100 and 200 freestyles with times of 52.01 and 1:53.85, respectively. Senior Samantha Richart recorded a victory in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.52) and sophomore Rachel Hester finished first in the 1,000 freestyle (10:35.31)
