BRIDGEPORT, WV – Toledo finished in 11th place at the weather-shortened Mountaineer Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The tournament was originally scheduled for 54 holes but only 36 could be played due to a frost delay. The two-day event took place at the Pete Dye Golf Club (Par-72, 7,353 Yards).

Nationally ranked Penn State won the team championship by shooting 291 today and finishing the inaugural tourney at 585, 10 strokes ahead of second place Connecticut (295-300=595). Mississippi State (308-288=596), Towson (302-296=598) and Missouri (302-297=599) rounded out the Top five teams.

Cincinnati's Davis Baxter earned individual medalist honors, shooting three-under par 69 today and finishing play at five-under par 139 (70-69).

Freshman Mike Lee carded the Rockets' best round of the day with a one-over par 73 to finish tied for 23rd place at seven-over par 151 (78-73), tying senior Otto Black (70-81) for the top finish on the team.

Classmate Spencer Shoemaker also shot a good round on Tuesday with a two-over par 74 and finished tied for 31st place at eight-over par 152 (78-74).

Rounding out the UT lineup were sophomore Stephen Watts (T-51st/75=80=155) and sophomore Colin Joseph (T69th/81-80=161).

UT will now wrap up its fall schedule by hosting the second-annual Rocket Individual Classic on Sunday, Oct. 25 at Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg.
