Toledo Ties for 10th Place at Talis Park Challenge

NAPLES, FL – Toledo tied for 10th place and junior Chris Selfridge tied for seventh at the Talis Park Challenge on Monday hosted by Ball State University. The Rockets shot a 66-over par 930 (301-305-324) on the par 72, 7,025-yard Talis Park Golf Club course.
Selfridge (69-74-77=220) held a one-stroke lead midway through his final round but registered three bogeys, two double bogeys and just one birdie in his final eight holes.
Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were junior Jamie Richardson tying for 33rd place at 16-over par 232 (78-75-79), sophomore Otto Black tying for 44th place at 19-over par 235 (76-79-80), junior Nate Gonring tying for 63rd place at 29-over par 245 (79-77-89) and sophomore Bobby Thomas alone in 71st place at 35-over par 251 (78-85-88).
Vanderbilt dominated the tournament, finish 19 strokes in front of Wichita State with a seven-over par 871 (283-289-299). The Commodores' Carson Jacobs (70-73-72) and Austin Peay's Marco Iten (73-73-69) shared medalist honors at one-under par 215.
The Rockets will return to action on Saturday-Sunday, April 12-13 with a trip to Bloomington, IN for the Hoosier Invitational.
