TOLEDO, OH - Head Coach Cory Mee announced on Wednesday that Steven Calhoun and Sam Shutes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Toledo baseball program for the 2014 season. Calhoun's and Shutes' additions bring the Rockets' incoming recruiting class size to seven, including Jacob Britt (Tecumseh, MI - Tecumseh), Josh Cales (Wauseon, OH - Wauseon), Jordan Kesson (Hartland, MI - Hartland), Jake Krupar (East Sparta, OH - Canton Central Catholic) and Corey Tipton (Grand Rapids, OH - St. John's Jesuit).
"We're really excited to have Steven and Sam join our program," Mee said. "I think both players will be able to come in and compete for playing time right away. The area of the game I like most about these two young men is that they are both strike throwers and very good all-around athletes."
