Toledo in Eighth Place Following First Day of Pinehurst Challenge

PINEHURST, NC - Toledo is in eighth place following Monday's first two rounds of the Pinehurst Challenge. The Rockets carded a 64-over par 640 and are just four strokes behind fifth-place Campbell.
Minnesota and tournament host College of Charleston are leading the 14-team field at 39-over par 615. The Cougars' Leigh Whittaker is atop the individual leaderboard at four-over par 148 (73-75).
Senior Michelle Hui is tied for 12th place to lead the Rockets at 13-over par 157 (76-81) with senior Erica Rivard tied for 17th place at 14-over par 158 (77-81). Junior Piyathida Chaiyapan is tied for 36th place at 19-over par 163 (84-79), while senior Emily Hardcastle (84-81) and freshman Natasha Gobey (81-84) are tied for 43rd pace at 21-over par 165. Redshirt freshman Kate Hoops is competing as an individual and in 50th place at 22-over par 166 (84-82).
The third and final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow.
