Rockets Post Fourth-Place Finish at Maryland Intercollegiate

CAMBRIDGE, MD - Buoyed by a solid team effort Toledo registered a fourth-place finish with a team score of eight-over par 860 (289-282-289) on Sunday at the Maryland Intercollegiate. The tournament was held on the par-71, 6,801-yard River Marsh Golf Course at the Hyatt Regency Resort.
Sophomore Josh Agin tied for 10th place to lead the Rockets with a 54-hole score of one-over par 214 (75-67-72). Agin's showing equaled the best finish of his young collegiate career.
Junior Michael Cermak (75-72-68) carded UT's best round of the day with a career-best three-under 68 and finish tied for 14th place at two-over par 215 with senior Jean-Hubert Trahan (66-71-78). Senior Ben Boyer tied for 22nd place at five-over par 218 (73-72-73) with junior Dugan Murphy tied for 65th place at 18-over par 231 (77-78-76).
Penn State claimed the tournament crown with a team score of 844. The Nittany Lions were led by Michael Miller, who was the individual medalist with a six-under-par 207 (70-68-69).
Toledo returns to action on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2 when it travels to Albuquerque, NM for the Tucker Intercollegiate.
