Rockets Finish Eighth at UK Bluegrass Invitational

LEXINGTON, KY ? Toledo concluded play at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational on Monday with an eighth-place finish on the par-71, 7,103-yard UK Big Blue Course. The teams completed the final three holes of the second round this morning due to cold and rainy weather on Sunday before playing the third and final round.

Central Florida captured the 17-team tournament with a 47-over par 899, while Western Kentucky's Brent Long (71-75-73) and Kentucky's Brian Belden (73-74-72) tied for medalist honors with a three-round total of six-over par 219.

Freshman Jean-Hubert Trahan led the Rockets with a 15-over par 228 (78-76-74) for an 18^th-place finish. Seniors Justin Hull (78-77-76) and Ciaran McAleavey (74-81-76) tied for 24^th place at 231, while freshman Ben Boyer tied for 41^st place at 234 (76-76-82). Freshman Nathan Wine finished in 91^st place at 253 (88-84-81).

The Rockets will return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20 with a trip to Stanford, CA for the U.S. Intercollegiate.
