The Rockets have clinched their second outright MAC West Division title since the conference began its divisional alignment in 1997-98. UT has captured four division titles during this time and has finished in either first or second place on eight occasions.
Toledo is 5-2 on the road in conference play this season and is guaranteed of its first winning conference road record since the 2000-01 season.
The Rockets lead their all-time series vs. Northern Illinois by a 37-16 margin and have won four in a row at NIU's Convocation Center and eight of their last nine meetings with the Huskies.
UT has won 12 straight games vs. MAC West Division opponents and has an 18-2 win-loss mark in its last 20 conference games.
Head Coach Stan Joplin is now 16-6 vs. NIU and 9-4 in head-to-head meetings with Huskies' mentor Rob Judson.
The Rockets' 86 points was their highest point total in a conference game this season.
Toledo is 5-1 this season in games decided by three points or less.
UT is 10-3 when leading at the half and 12-2 when leading with five minutes remaining.
The Rockets are 7-2 when four or more players score in double figures.
Toledo won its first game this season when allowing more than 80 points.
Senior forwards Keonta Howell and Florentino Valencia led the Rockets with 16 points and have each scored in double figures in a team-best 22 of 26 contests.
Sophomore guard Ridley Johnson scored eight points and tied his career high with three steals. He is averaging 10.3 ppg in his last four games.
Freshman forward Shane Ross equaled his season-high three rebounds and scored his most points in a conference game with four.
