Rockets Lose to No. 5 Alabama at BAMA BASH

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Toledo softball suffered a brutal 13-0 loss in five innings to No. 5 Alabama this afternoon, Feb. 17. The Rockets were then scheduled to play Michigan State in the tournament play but the game was cancelled due to the weather.
Taking the loss for the Rockets was senior Stephanie Moore (0-2). Moore was then replaced in the bottom of the third inning with sophomore Sierra Pereira. Pereira pitched until the middle of the fourth and was then replaced by freshman Hannah Rockhold, who finished the game. Rockhold had the only strikeout of the day by the Rocket pitching staff.
Toledo's defense started the game not allowing any runs in the first inning. Brie Ford, Lacy LeVier and Erica Singer had the only three Rocket hits of the game.
UT entered the tournament as a third seed. They will play host Alabama for the championship game tomorrow Feb. 18 at 1:30 PM. You can listen to the game live at the BAMA BASH tournament web page.
