Toledo Falls to Buffalo 6-1

Buffalo, NY - The Toledo women's tennis team lost 6-1 to Buffalo on Saturday at Village Glen Tennis Center. The loss was just the second of the year in the Mid-American Conference for the Rockets (3-2) and their first MAC loss on the road. The Rockets scored their only point by winning the doubles competition.
The Rockets got off to a good start by winning the doubles point, but were unable to take any of the singles matches. Myriam Cueva and Eunice Paravicini remained unbeaten in MAC play with an 8-3 win at first doubles, while Jenny Belsky and Viviana Rivero picked up an 8-5 victory at the second flight.
Two singles matches went the distance of three sets, but the Rockets could not capture any. Jenny Belsky lost at fourth singles (7-6 (4), 4-6, 1-0 (10-6)) and after winning the first set, Sarah Horning lost 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at fifth singles.
Toledo will play its first match at the newly renovated UT Varsity Courts on Friday when it hosts Bowling Green at 1 p.m.
