Emi Holsclaw Named Toledo Athlete of the Week

Toledo, OH - Sophomore setter Emi Holsclaw earned MAC West Division Player of the Week honors for the second time in her young career following her stellar performance last weekend. The Dublin, OH native averaged 14.00 assists per game, 3.57 digs per contest and 0.71 blocks per game while registering a .462 attack percentage with six kills and no errors for the Rockets last week.
In Toledo's sweep of Akron on Saturday, Holsclaw notched 48 assists (16.00 assists per game), had nine digs on the defensive end, and paced the Rockets to a .307 team attack percentage. The win over the Zips improved UT's home mark to a perfect 7-0 with all seven victories being sweeps.
In a four-game loss at Ball State on Thursday, Holsclaw posted a .600 attack percentage, along with collecting an impressive 50 assists, and 16 digs. She was also responsible for 10 total points on the week, helping the Rockets to a three-way tie for first-place in the West Division.
Toledo returns to action with the first of four straight road matches at Kent State on Friday, Oct. 7.
