* Head Coach Stan Joplin notched his first win at Marshall's Henderson Center in his fourth and final game. Joplin has now posted a victory in each of the MAC's arenas.
* The Rockets now lead the all-time series vs. Marshall by a 33-21 margin with tonight's win being UT's first in Huntington, WV since Jan. 31, 1970.
* UT won its first road game of the season and is now 1-6 on the road this year and has won six of its last eight games.
* Toledo shot a season-high 56.0 percent, including an impressive season-best 68.2 percent in the first half.
* The Rockets shot a season-best 46.2 percent from three-point range led by sophomore guard Keonta Howell's 3-for-4 performance from behind the arc. UT has shot a season high from three-point range in each of the last two games during which it has shot 44.4 percent (12-for-27).
* Toledo has registered 10 or more steals in eight of its last nine games and is leading the MAC with 10.2 steals per game.
* The Rockets have raised their average free throws attempted per game (18.7) by shooting 60 free throws (73.3 FG%) in their last two games.
* UT registered 20 assists and 10 turnovers to notch its first 2-to-1 ratio this season and raise its season mark to 0.97.
* Senior guard Keith Triplett led the Rockets with 22 points and has led UT in scoring in three straight games and four of their five MAC contests.
* Freshman guard Kashif Payne equaled his season high with seven points and dished out four assists and didn't commit any turnovers. He has played 26.0 minutes per game in UT's last two contests with 12 assists and just one turnover to raise his assist/turnover ratio to a team-best 2.35.
* Sophomore guard Keonta Howell finished second on the team with 17 points for his sixth double-digit scoring outing of the season. He also equaled career highs with four free throws, three treys and three steals in just 17 minutes of action.
* Sophomore guard Justin Ingram grabbed a career-high seven rebounds for the second time in his last three games.
* Sophomore forward Florentino Valencia tallied 15 points for his fifth double-digit outing of the season and first in his last seven contests.
