TOLEDO, OH - Head Men's Golf Coach Jamie Mauntler announced today that Andrew Milloy (LaSalle, ONT) signed a national letter of intent during the early signing period and will begin attending UT at the start of the 2005-06 academic year.
"Andrew is a excellent player with tons of potential and has excelled at the national level in both Canada and the United States," Mauntler said. "Andrew has a great game for college golf; he is extremely long and is a great ball striker. I look for Andrew to challenge for a spot in the lineup immediately."
Milloy earned team MVP honors all four years at St. Thomas of Villanova High School. He captured regional and sectional championships as a junior, in addition to winning the University of Windsor Invitational as a sophomore.
On the amateur circuit, Milloy's highlights included capturing the 2002 IJGT Tournament of Champions and finishing third at the 2003 AJGA Toldo Group Eastern Canadian Junior Tournament and fifth at the AJGA Boyne Highlands Junior Tournament. Milloy also posted a third-place showing at the 2003 IJGT Tournament of Champions.
