Toledo Drops Pair to No. 25-ranked Ohio State

Columbus, OH - Toledo (5-20) dropped a pair of games (8-0, 4-1) today to No. 25-ranked Ohio State (19-12) in a doubleheader this afternoon at Buckeye Field.
The Rockets were limited to two hits in five innings in the opener with senior CF Jenny Schaaf and senior DP Tiffany Edgar each notching singles.
The Buckeyes plated three runs in the second inning and five in the fifth inning to secure the win.
Toledo jumped out a 1-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap when freshman SS Gina Muratori singled and scored on a Buckeye error.
OSU answered back though with two runs in the first inning and one each in the second and fourth frames for the final margin of victory.
The Rockets had a chance to cut into the Buckeyes' lead by putting runners on first and second to begin the fifth inning but were unable to score.
UT will be back in action on Thursday, April 10 when it takes on MAC East Division leader Marshall at Scott Park in a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m.
