Akron, OH - Toledo (8-15, 4-6 MAC) dropped a 3-0 (30-14, 30-25, 30-21) decision to Akron (11-10, 6-3 MAC) tonight in Mid-American Conference contest at James A. Rhodes Arena.
The Zips registered a decisive advantage at the net in the match by outblocking the Rockets 10-3 and holding them to a .097 hitting percentage.
Junior Rachel Mohler led Toledo's attack with 11 kills and the only Rocket to reach double figures in kills. Freshmen Lora Sarich and Kate Bean paced UT defensively with 19 and 18 digs, respectively.
The Rockets will return to action on Sunday afternoon for a 3:00 p.m. matinee vs. Central Michigan at Savage Hall.
