Men's Basketball: Greg Stempin Completes First Season in National Basketball Developmental League

TOLEDO, OH - Former University of Toledo men's basketball player Greg Stempin received 2001-02 All-NBDL honorable mention honors following his first season with the Fayetteville (NC) Patriots. A 6-8 forward, he led the Patriots in scoring with 15.7 points per game and finished fourth in the league in scoring.
Stempin completed his Rocket career following the 2000-01 campaign as the third-leading scorer in Toledo history with 1,705 points. He also was just the fourth Rocket ever to be named to the first-team All-MAC squad three straight seasons.
The NBDL completed its first season as a talent source for the NBA's 29 teams. Teams were based in Southeastern cities - Fayetteville and Asheville, NC, North Charleston and Greenville, SC, Huntsville and Mobile, AL, Roanoke, VA, and Columbus, GA.
