Sydney, Australia - It was very exciting to run at the stadium. I wish I could have advanced farther. I banged my trail leg really good during warm up for the second round. My knee is out of commission for a while. So many people asked if I would be nervous running in a big event like the Olympics. I was more nervous the night before. I want to go back and do a lot better next time. I just have to patient and fix a couple of minor things and I will be just fine.
Mark Creer pulled me to the side after the race and told me to keep on working hard because I have some talent. That really meant a whole lot to me. The blocks are a lot smaller at the line. I have to keep that in mind in years to come. There was a long walk from the tunnel to the starting line. One has to walk some 200m from exiting the tunnel. The fans were great! They knew my name, and even a couple people cheered for Liberia! Of course, most of the applause went to the hurdler from Australia.
Thanks for all of the support,
Paul
