Sydney Stepanovich earns top-five finish in the 400m at the We Fly Challenge
MUNCIE, Ind. / DURHAM, N.C. – The Toledo track & field program concluded a weekend that saw action at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. and the We Fly Challenge in Muncie, Ind.
At the We Fly Challenge, freshman Sydney Stepanovich earned a fifth-place finish in the 400m with a final time of 57.52. Bralynn Dunn (12th/58.54) and Alissa Magato (17th/59.75) followed behind, all earning top-20 results in the event. Dunn also placed ninth overall in the 100m with a mark of 12.42.
The men's distance runners saw action at the Duke Invitational, competing in the 5000m and the 3000m steeplechase. Sibonelo Khumalo led the Rockets in the 5000m, taking seventh overall with a final time of 13:56.36. In the 3000m steeplechase, Max Matolin and Loann Brelivet each finished within the top-15. Matolin earned fourth in the event with a mark of 8:59.99 while Brelivet followed behind in 15th with a time of 9:16.30.
