Tennis: Toledo Men at Michigan State, Women Travel to Kalamazoo For MAC Indoors

Toledo, OH - The University of Toledo men's and women's tennis teams will both compete in weekend tournaments on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 20-22. The men will participating a tournament hosted by Michigan State in East Lansing, MI, while the women play in the MAC Indoor Tournament at Kalamazoo, MI.
The men's team hosted the Rocket Indoor Tournament last weekend at the Laurel Hill Tennis Club in Toledo, OH. The tournament was highlighted by Dipesh Rao's (Mumbai, India) consolation championship in Flight A singles, and a consolation championship in Flight A doubles by the Rocket team of Pete Baghdati (Limassel, Cyprus) and Carlos Lomena (Caracas, Venezuela).
The women's team will play in MAC Indoors after last competing in the Spartan 2000 Fall Invitational in East Lansing, MI on Oct. 6-8. Marie Craig (Akron, OH) captured the Singles B consolation championship for the Rockets.
After the Michigan State Invitational and the MAC Indoor Tournament, the Rockets complete the 2000 fall schedule with the ITA Midwest Regionals, Oct. 27-29 for the men and Nov. 3-5 for the women.
