On the softball diamond, Recker lit up the mound as early as her freshman year, pitching a no-hitter and recording a stellar 1.09 ERA. An All-MAC selection in 1989, she recorded 14 wins, 49 strikeouts, and a 1.19 ERA that helped bring the Rockets a conference championship and a seventh place finish in the College World Series. In her softball career, Recker pitched 703 innings and made appearances in 128 games, starting 98 of them. She finished her career with 57 wins and a 1.72 career ERA. A native of Santa Monica, California, she graduated from Jackson High School in Canton.
