Senior running back Chip Trayanum is Toledo's Male Athlete of the Week after producing an explosive Week 2 performance against Western Kentucky in Toledo's 45-21 win in its home opener on Saturday. He rushed for a career-high 163 yards on 14 carries with two rushing touchdowns, while also adding a receiving score on two catches and 13 yards.

Trayanum made two trips to the end zone in the first quarter, scoring on Toledo's opening possession on a one-yard touchdown dive, before closing the quarter's scoring with a 10-yard touchdown reception. The Akron native then started out the second half with a 75-yard run to the end zone on the first play from scrimmage to put Toledo up 38-7, helping the Rockets put the game away in the third quarter.
