Mark Singnil is a former UT athlete who played for the Rockets from 2013-15 and was a student assistant coach for the 2015-16 season. Prior to joining the Rockets, Singnil played two years at NCAA Division II member Harding University in Searcy, AR.
Singnil compiled an overall record of 21-5 while at Harding. As a sophomore, Singnil finished with a record of 9-4 in singles competition and 6-6 in doubles at the No. 1 spot to earn Great American Conference first-team laurels for a second-straight spring. Over the course of his freshman campaign at Harding, he went 12-1 in singles action and 10-4 in doubles, collecting both Player and Freshman of the Year accolades for the conference.
While a student-athlete at UT, Singnil was named to second-team All-Mid-American Conference. He concluded his junior season with an overall singles record of 16-7 and was named Team Co-MVP.
Singnil finished his senior campaign with a 11-9 mark in singles and was honored with the program’s inaugural Brian Engel Award, which is given to the most deserving player who has shown excellence in tennis, academics, leadership, sportsmanship and community service.
Singnil, a native of Samutsakorn, Thailand, graduated from UT with a degree in business administration and information systems. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration and information systems at Toledo.
