Did not play high school football as a senior...Repeated his sophomore year after transferring to Bishop McCort from Greater Johnstown High School in order to straighten up his academic situation and was later ruled ineligible to play his senior season...Had seven catches for 144 yards as a junior...Also played defensive back...All-Area in both his sophomore and junior seasons...Also played point guard on the basketball team and earned honorable mention all-state honors...Ran on the track team...Finished fourth in the state in the 200, sixth in the state in the 100 and anchored the third-place 4x100 relay team...Reportedly ran a 4.41 40-yard dash in a summer camp.
