Biography

2009-10: Named MAC Swimmer of Year after racking up 85 points at conference championships...Took 11th in 800 Free at the 2010 ConocoPhillips USA National Championships, the highest finish in school history...First Team All-MAC...Academic All-MAC...Won the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free at MAC Championships, setting school records in each event...Time of 16:21.74 in 1650 free was also a MAC record, breaking her own record by four seconds...Also swam on first-place 800 free relay team at championships, which set a school record...Hit NCAA “B” qualifying times in all four events at MAC Championships...During regular season, took first a total of 13 times competing in the 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free and 200 IM...Also had four runner-up finishes and a total of 24 top-five finishes...9:57.73 time in 1000 free against Ohio State was the best time in the MAC all season and set a school and pool record...named Team Most Valuable Player.

2008-09: Competed at World Championship Trials in the 400 freestyle in July, 2009...All-MAC First Team... Three-time MAC Swimmer of the Week...MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week...MAC Champion in 500 Freestyle with UT, pool, MAC and MAC Championship record time of 4:45.50...Part of the first ever one-two-three UT finish at MACs in that event...Also finished second in the 1650 free (16:37.95) and fifth in the 200 free (1:48.29, UT record) at MACs...Part of 800 free relay that finished third with a UT-record time of 7:16.95 at MACs...Earned victories in 500 free against Oakland, Eastern Michigan and Ohio... Five second-place finishes in 500 free as well...Five-time winner in 1000 free: Oakland, Michigan, Eastern Michi-gan, Ohio and Buffalo...Set school-record in 1000 free against Michigan with time of 9:59.12, besting her own mark by over eight seconds...Four-time winner in 1650 free: Miami, Eastern Michigan Invitational, NU/ND Double Duals and Bowling Green...Set UT and MAC record in 1650 free with time of 16:25.12 at Eastern Michigan Invitational, breaking her own school- record by 26 seconds...Won 200 free against Ball State and took second against Akron...Second in 200 back against Ball State...Owns five of the top-eight UT times in 500 free, five of the top-nine in the 1000 free, and five of the top-10 in the 1650 free...Also holds 200, 400, 800 and 1500 free school long course records and 400 IM long course record

2007-08: Broke five UT long course records in the summer of 2008... Earned All-MAC Second Team honors... Named Swimmer of the Week for Oct. 24... Broke the UT 1650 freestyle record at Mid-American Conference Championships in 16:51.58... Part of the 400 freestyle relay squad that set the school record (3:25.27) at MACs... Swam the 200 freestyle in 1:51.72 at MACs... Member of 400 medley relay that finished MACs in a second-place and school-record time of 3:45.00... Broke the school record in the 500 freestyle at MAC (4:51.73)... Part of the 800 freestyle relay that finished second at MACs (7:22.58)... Took first against Akron in the 1000 freestyle (10:14.05) and the 500 freestyle (5:00.39)... Placed first in the 500 freestyle against BGSU (5:03.15)... Broke a three-year old UT pool record in a meet against Notre Dame in the 1000 freestyle (10:07.05)... Captured first in the 200 and 500 freestyle against Buffalo... Won the 400 and 800 freestyle at Ohio State... Swam the 100 freestyle in 1:57.28 and the 500 freestyle in 4:59.07 at Eastern Michigan... Competed in the 800 freestyle relay that finished fourth (7:42.61) at EMU... Finished second in the 1650 freestyle (17:04.98) at EMU... Member of the seventh-place 400 freestyle relay squad (3:38.75) at EMU... Placed first in the 500 freestyle against Miami (5:02.77)... Helped set the UT pool record in the 400 freestyle relay against Miami (3:29.32)... Posted first in the 500 and 1000 freestyle in a dual meet against EMU... Won three events against Oakland and Illinois... Placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:52.89), 500 freestyle  (5:01.41) and 1000 freestyle (10:11.11)... Is a top-10 all-time UT performer in four events - 200 freestyle (4th), 500 freestyle (1st), 1000 freestyle (1st) and 1650 freestyle (1st).

High School:
Four-year letterwinner in swimming and two-year letterwinner in tennis ... Team MVP and team captain senior year ... Four time league champion in 500 free ... District winner two years and runner-up two years in 500 freestyle ... State qualifier for four years.  

Personal: Born Jacy Lynn Dyer on February 9, 1989 ... Daughter of Lari and Dian Dyer ...  Majoring in psychology.

Favorite sports moment: Watching the men’s 4x100 free relay at the 2008 Olympics.
Favorite class: Spanish. I would want to play myself in a movie about my life.
Favorite food: Anything.
My goal for this year: Team to win the MAC Champi- onship and qualify for the NCAA’s.
One word to describe myself: Determined.
I can’t live without my: DVD’s.
Favorite musical artist: Panic at the Disco and Cobra Starship.
If I could visit one place in the world, it would be: Italy
