Toledo garners five or more honorees for eighth time in last nine years
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's golf team placed five individuals on the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. The Rockets' five honorees mark the eighth time in the last nine years that UT has had five or more recipients.
Junior Aine Martin, sophomore Valeria Lizcano, sophomore Rachel Mackinlay, sophomore Emily Young, and freshman Alice Tonts each received the honor. Lizcano was honored for the second time in her Rocket career and has registered a 4.0 grade-point average in economics.
A total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers were recognized across Divisions I, II and III. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA to qualify is 3.50. The candidate must have also played in 50% of the school's competitive rounds through the conference championship during the year.
