Rockets to host 15 contests in Savage Arena this season
TOLEDO, Ohio –Toledo women's volleyball head coach Brian Wright has announced the program's 2026 non-conference schedule on Friday. The complete schedule features 10 non-conference matchups, including seven in Savage Arena, and 16 Mid-American Conference contests in a 26-match slate.
The reigning conference champion Rockets will open the 2026 season by hosting the Rocket Invitational Presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott on Friday-Saturday, Aug. 28-29. Action begins on Friday, Aug. 28 against Bradley at 6:00 p.m. and concludes with matches on Saturday, Aug. 29 against Binghamton at 12:00 p.m. and Oakland at 7:00 p.m.
Following the home tournament, Toledo will host Purdue Fort Wayne on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 6:00 p.m. and conclude the week by hosting Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 4:00 p.m.
UT will then hit the road for its only road matches of the non-conference schedule at the West Virginia Invitational on Thursday-Friday, Sept. 10-11. The Rockets will take on Lehigh, VCU and West Virginia in Morgantown, W. Va.
The Midnight Blue & Gold will wrap up non-conference play with a pair of matches in Savage Arena. The Rockets will host Missouri on Friday, Sept. 18 at 7:00 p.m. before closing out the slate with a home contest against Dayton on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11:00 a.m.
MAC play begins on the road with matches at Akron (Sept. 25) and Buffalo (Sept. 27). UT will host Ball State (Oct. 2-3) and Kent State (Oct. 8-9) for its first home MAC matches. The Rockets will also welcome Ohio (Oct. 23-24) before rounding out the home schedule with Eastern Michigan (Nov. 6) and Bowling Green (Nov. 14). The 2026 MAC Championship will be on Friday-Sunday, Nov. 20-22 in Muncie, Ind. and hosted by Ball State, the 2025 MAC regular season champions. Toledo has clinched a spot in five-straight league tournaments, a program record.
