Jebiwot tallies personal best time to score in 10,000m in Muncie, Ind.
MUNCIE, Ind. – Melody Jebiwot earned a second-place finish in the 10,000m as the Toledo women's track & field team concluded day one of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships in Muncie, Ind.
Jebiwot took second with a final time of 33:28.53, a new personal best mark and the third-fastest time in program history. She scored eight points for the Rockets, putting the team in a tie for fifth.
Eva Moran competed in the pole vault, recording a personal best mark of 3.57m and moving into sixth in program history. Moran took 10th overall in the event.
In the 200m, Bralynne Dunn advanced to Saturday's finals after recording a personal best time of 24.13 with the fifth-best time in program history. Sydney Stepanovich followed behind, taking 12th in the event with a time of 24.55 and moving into ninth all-time.
In the 1500m trials, Alex Bauer, Dorcas Kiptanui and Laura Acuña all qualified for Saturday's finals.
