Jenna Gober drives in the winning run in game one of the twin bill
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Toledo softball split a doubleheader with Mid-American Conference opponent Western Michigan on Friday afternoon in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Rockets picked up an 8-7 win in game one before falling 2-0 in game two, moving them to 9-11 in conference play.
Freshman Jenna Gober led the offense in game one, going 2-for-3 and driving in the winning run with a single to left field in the top of the seventh. Gober also crushed her third homer of the season with a solo shot in the third inning. Samantha Bolding tallied her 11th home run of the season and 24th of her career with a two-run shot in the second inning. Eli Enriquez chipped in two hits, marking her 18th multi-hit game of the season. Katie McDonald (9-9) picked up the win, tossing 5.2 innings in relief and allowing three runs.
In game two, the Toledo offense was held to just three hits. Freshman Lexi Johnson tossed her first complete game, going 6.0 innings and allowing just two runs.

- Western Michigan struck first with a solo home run in the first inning, 1-0.
- UT responded with five runs in the top of the second, highlighted by a bases clearing double from Eli Enriquez and a two-run homer from Samantha Bolding for a 5-1 lead.
