Rockets in fifth place in team standings at LPGA International
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Junior Mason Deal shot even-par and is tied for fifth place to lead the Toledo men's golf team following Monday's first two rounds of Stetson's Sam Ryder Intercollegiate. The Rockets are sitting in fifth place in their first tournament of the spring that is being played at the par-72, 6,984-yard Hills course at LPGA International.
Deal carded even-par 72s in both the first and second rounds and registered a team-best six birdies.
Sophomore Bence Bertenyi registered the Rockets' best round of the day with a one-under par 71 this morning and is tied for 26th place at four-over par 148.
Senior Bence Kotel is one shot behind Bertenyi and tied for 31st place at seven-over par 151.
Stetson leads the 14-team field at eight-under par, with the Hatters' Jackson Hicks and Matthis Lefevre tied for first place at four-under par.
The third and final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow morning.
