Rockets facing unbeaten RedHawks in final road game of season
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball team (16-13, 10-6 MAC) looks to continue building momentum for the 2026 Mid-American Conference Tournament when it visits No. 19 Miami (29-0, 16-0 MAC) on Tuesday, March 3 in Oxford, Ohio. The Rockets and RedHawks will tip off at 7:00 p.m. in Millett Hall with streaming on ESPN+.
Toledo has already secured the No. 4 or No. 5 seed in next week's MAC Tournament at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, and will look to extend its three-game winning streak.
Leroy Blyden Jr. (22 pts.) and Sonny Wilson (21 pts.) led the Rockets' attack in Saturday's 79-67 victory at Ohio. Blyden also grabbed a season-high nine boards and dished out three assists, while Wilson hauled down seven rebounds. Austin Parks notched his third double-double of the season as well, with 11 points and 11 boards to help UT register a 45-36 advantage on the glass.
Toledo led by as many as 20 points and never trailed en route to its 11th consecutive win over the Bobcats. The Rockets' defense set the tone early, holding Ohio to just 29.7% shooting in the first half. The Bobcats cut their deficit to two midway through the second stanza, but UT made several big plays down the stretch to register a double-digit win.
The Rockets are led by the backcourt duo of Wilson (17.3 ppg) and Blyden (15.9 ppg) along with the frontcourt tandem of Sean Craig (11.8 ppg) and Parks (11.2 ppg). Blyden leads all MAC freshmen with 15.9 ppg, while Wilson is dishing out a team-high 4.5 apg. Miami is just the fourth team this century to enter March with an undefeated record. The RedHawks' 30-game home winning streak is tied for second in the nation. Senior Peter Suder leads Miami with 14.7 ppg.
