Rockets to Battle Southern Miss in MAC-SBC Challenge at Savage Arena

Toledo will face Golden Eagles in first all-time meeting
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team faces Southern Miss for the first-ever meeting between the two schools on Saturday, Feb. 7. The two teams will tip off as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last time out, the Rockets (11-9, 6-4 MAC) fell at Akron, 77-74. Patricia Anumgba led with 20 points while Faith Fedd-Robinson added 14 with eight rebounds. Toledo trailed after three quarters, 56-50, and briefly took the lead in the fourth. However, the Rockets could not secure the tying or go-ahead score in the final minute. Despite the setback, the Rockets have won five of their last seven overall heading into Saturday's game.
The Golden Eagles (12-11, 5-7 SBC) fell to James Madison at home, 83-72 on Wednesday. Earlier this season in the MAC-SBC Challenge, USM defeated Northern Illinois, 77-56 at home.

Opening Tips
- The Rockets are 8-2 at home this season, including six-straight home victories. In their last home game, the Rockets defeated Bowling Green in the Battle of I-75, 59-49.
