Rockets Begin February with Road Trip to Akron

Toledo has won three straight games to climb into fifth place in the MAC
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team starts the month of February on the road, beginning with a trip to Akron on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 6:00 p.m. at James A. Rhodes Arena. The game will broadcast on ESPN+ and the Rocket Radio Network.
The Rockets (11-8, 6-3 MAC) have won three-straight games, tied for their season-long winning streak. Toledo finished off back-to-back home games with a 59-49 victory over Bowling Green on Jan. 31. The Rockets took a 23-5 lead in the first quarter and won the fourth quarter, 20-9 for the Battle of I-75 triumph. Toledo was led by junior Ella Weaver with 15 points on 5-of-9 from the field an 3-of-6 from three. Faith Fedd-Robinson pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds.
The Zips (4-17, 1-8 MAC) picked up their first MAC victory on Saturday with a 76-72 win against Buffalo. Shaena Brew led with 20 points on 9-of-13 from the floor.

Opening Tips
- The Rockets have been led by their defense, giving up just 57.8 points per game in MAC play and holding four conference opponents below 50 points. Going back to Long Beach State, five of Toledo's last 10 opponents have been held under 50 points.
