Toledo Picked First in MAC Preseason Coaches Poll

Rockets look to win third regular season championship in past four seasons
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team was selected first in the Mid-American Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The league's coaches picked Toledo to finish first with 58 total points and five first-place votes to go along with five votes as MAC Tournament Champions. Buffalo was chosen second with 32 points, and UMass was picked to finish third with 47 points.
The Rockets finished the 2025 season third in the MAC before falling to to No. 2 seed Northern Illinois in the first round of the conference championship. UT won the league's regular season title in 2023 and 2024.
Toledo opens the 2026 dual season on Friday, Jan. 23 against Oakland at Twos Athletic Club. The team returns six letterwinners from last season and welcomes three freshmen into the fold.
The 2026 MAC Championship will take place at Miami University on Saturday-Sunday, April 25-26.
