Men's basketball (8-6, 2-0 MAC) will look to continue its hot start to Mid-American Conference play with a pair of games this week. The Rockets will visit Northern Illinois (5-9, 1-2 MAC) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 before hosting an undefeated Miami squad (15-0, 3-0 MAC) in a nationally-televised contest at 6:00 p.m. UT rallied from a pair of 16-point deficits last week in its wins over Western Michigan and Central Michigan. Leroy Blyden Jr. exploded for a season-high 36 points against the Broncos, while Kyler Vanderjagt poured in a season-best 23 points vs. the Chippewas.

Women's basketball begins the week on the road on Wednesday, taking on Ball State in Worthen Arena at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+. The Rockets then return to Savage Arena to face Western Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday's game will be the program's Justice for Sierah game in support of the Justice for Sierah Foundation. The Rockets will wear special purple-themed jerseys and an online auction for the game-worn jerseys is live through Jan. 12. Toledo split its opening week in league play last week, defeating Buffalo at home and falling to Miami on the road. In the Buffalo win, Patricia Anumgba set season highs with 19 points and 8-of-13 FG, while Kendall Carruthers added 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

Swimming & Diving resume dual meets on Saturday, Jan. 10 by hosting Akron at 11:00 a.m. at the UT Student Recreation Center. Entry is free and fans attending can park in Lot 18. During the Blue vs. Gold Invite, the team broke seven pool records and were led by junior Leah Evans who broke the 100 back (53.54) and 200 back (1:57.90). Evans, Janne Slegers, Rosie Richards and Paula Pavillard-Salvador all won at least two events during the intrasquad competition.

Toledo returns to indoor track & field action at the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Saturday, Jan. 10. During the first indoor meet of the season, nine Rockets earned top-10 finishes while sophomore Gabby Phelan picked up a win in the mile (4:57.03). Freshman Eva Moran secured the sixth-best pole vault result in program history with a mark of 3.57m in her first collegiate competition.
