Toledo tips off at Miami at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team heads out on the road for the first time in Mid-American Conference play, taking on Miami on Saturday, Jan. 3 and Ball State on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
The Rockets and RedHawks will tip off from Millett Hall at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rockets and Cardinals will begin at 6:30 on Wednesday. Both matchups will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Rockets (6-5, 1-0) MAC started off conference play with a 79-46 drubbing of Buffalo at Savage Arena. Toledo led 41-19 at halftime and by as much as 37 in the second half. Graduate student Patricia Anumgba put up a season-high 19 points on 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from three.
The Redhawks (9-4, 1-0) and the Cardinals (10-4, 2-0) each won MAC road contests on Wednesday. Miami knocked off MAC preseason favorite Kent State, 67-63, while Ball State routed Akron, 102-73.
Toledo won the only matchup against Miami last season, a 64-59 triumph at Savage Arena. Saturday will be the only game between the two schools in the regular season. Wednesday's game vs. Ball State will mark a rematch of last year's MAC Tournament championship game, which the Cardinals won 65-58. Toledo and Ball State split the regular-season series in 2024-25, with both teams winning on their home courts.
