Rockets head into the road trip 3-2 in MAC play
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team faces a pair of road games in Mid-American Conference play this week, taking on Eastern Michigan on Tuesday and Ohio on Saturday. Tuesday's game against the Eagles begins at 6:30 p.m. Both matchups will be streamed on ESPN+.
Last time out, the Rockets (8-7, 3-2 MAC) disposed of Northern Illinois, 70-49 at Savage Arena on Wednesday. Graduate student Patricia Anumgba starred with a breakout performance, totaling 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting and 4-of-6 from three-point range, five steals and four rebounds. She set four season highs and matched two career bests in the victory.
The Eagles (7-9, 1-5 MAC) dropped a 77-64 decision at Central Michigan on Saturday. EMU has fell in four straight heading into the week.
The Bobcats (11-5, 5-1 MAC) defeated Northern Illinois, 66-62 on Saturday. Ohio is 7-2 at home entering the week. The Bobcats visit Bowling Green on Wednesday before facing the Rockets.
Toledo won its only matchup against both teams last season, with a 77-49 victory at Eastern Michigan and an 80-65 home triumph against Ohio last season. Toledo faces both teams at Savage Arena in February.
