Toledo to Host Ohio in a "Blue Out" on Tuesday Night

Matchup of two of MAC's top teams to tip off at 7:00 p.m. in Savage Arena
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball team (9-7, 3-1 MAC) will look to maintain its position near the top of the Mid-American Conference standings when it hosts Ohio (10-7, 4-1 MAC) on Tuesday, Jan. 13 in Savage Arena. The Rockets are currently in a four-way tie for third place, trailing only league-leading Miami (17-0, 5-0 MAC) and the Bobcats.
A Blue Out will be held for tomorrow night's contest with streaming on ESPN+ at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear their Midnight Blue with rally towels being provided.
Sonny Wilson led the Rockets in their two games last week with 18.5 ppg, 5.0 apg and 3.5 spg to go along with 4.5 rpg. Wilson led UT against the RedHawks with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Sean Craig posted his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Leroy Blyden Jr. chipped in 12 points, including a team-best three triples, while Austin Parks added 10 points.
Miami was red-hot in the opening 20 minutes against the Rockets on Friday night, shooting 65.7% en route to a 56-36 advantage. Toledo rallied in the second half and limited the RedHawks to a 39.3 FG% to outscore Miami by a 37-31 margin.
The Rockets are led by the backcourt trio of Wilson (16.9 ppg), Blyden (15.1 ppg), and Kyler Vanderjagt (12.8 ppg) along with the frontcourt tandem of Craig (12.8 ppg) and Parks (10.8 ppg). Craig ranks second in the MAC with a team-high 8.1 rpg, with Wilson leading UT with 4.4 apg.
Ohio enters Tuesday's contest with a season-high five-game winning streak after dropping its MAC opener to Bowling Green at home.
Senior Jackson Paveletzke ranks seventh in the MAC with 16.9 ppg and fourth with 4.8 apg. Senior Aiden Hadaway is averaging 13.5 ppg and a team-high 7.8 rpg.
