Grace Freiberger and Sierra Pertzborn Named to Preseason All-MAC Team

Freiberger and Pertzborn each entering second season with Rockets
TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo libero Grace Freiberger and middle blocker Sierra Pertzborn were named to the 2025 Preseason All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference on Monday. Both Freiberger and Pertzborn earned a spot on the 2024 All-Freshman Team.
Freiberger led the conference in digs per set last season, averaging 5.65 during MAC play. She also ranked first among all freshmen nationally, averaging 5.07 digs per set throughout the season. The Lima, Ohio native recorded double-figure digs in 27 matches, including three matches with 30-plus digs.Â
Pertzborn tallied 119 total blocks throughout her freshman campaign, a mark that ranks fourth all-time in Toledo single season history. The Middleton, Wis. native ranked seventh in the conference with 1.11 blocks per set in MAC play. Pertzborn averaged 1.06 blocks per set throughout the season, ranking third all-time in Toledo single season history. Pertzborn was third on the squad with 214 total kills and tallied five or more blocks in nine matches throughout the 2024 season.
The Rockets begin the 2025 season with the Rocket Invitational Presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott on Friday-Sunday, Aug. 29-31 in Savage Arena.
