Toledo Reveals 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team's 2025-26 non-conference schedule has been finalized, Head Coach Ginny Boggess announced on Thursday.

The 11-game non-conference slate tips off on Nov. 3 and features a Big Ten matchup, six games at Savage Arena, two MAC-SBC Challenge games and several matchups against regional rivals.

"We have a great non-conference schedule for 2025-26," said Boggess, who is entering her second season leading the Rockets. "I'm excited for the challenge and eager for the opportunity to prepare ourselves for the rigors of MAC play."

The Rockets' recently announced season opener will be at Troy on Nov. 3 as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge, with Toledo facing the Trojans for the second-straight season. Toledo then heads home for its home opener on Nov. 9, taking on Gonzaga after facing the Bulldogs in Spokane two years ago. Gonzaga was the WCC regular-season co-champion and reached the WBIT quarterfinals last season.

Following the Gonzaga bout, Toledo will also host non-conference matchups against Detroit Mercy (Nov. 16), Morgan State (Dec. 2), Northern Iowa (Dec. 6), Wayne State (Dec. 17) and a Sun Belt Conference opponent TBA on Feb. 7.

The Rockets' remaining road schedule includes matchups against Northern Kentucky (Nov. 19), Youngstown State (Nov. 25), Ohio State (Dec. 14) and Long Beach State (Dec. 22). Toledo will face Ohio State for the first time since Dec. 1, 1981 in its Dec. 14 matchup in Columbus. Ohio State reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season as a No. 4 seed. The matchups against Northern Kentucky and Long Beach State will each be rematches following Rocket victories last November.

Prior to opening the season, Toledo will host Saginaw Valley State in an exhibition on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in Savage Arena.

All game times are TBA. The Mid-American Conference will announce Toledo's league schedule at a later date.

Toledo is coming off of a 24-9 overall record and a fourth-straight postseason appearance last season after reaching the WBIT. The Rockets were 9-2 in regular-season non-conference last season.
