Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo Varsity T Club announced its 2025 Hall of Fame inductees today.

Members of the Class of 2025 include seven former student-athletes: Trinity Dawson, Football (2001-05); Dan Kay, Wrestling (1980-83); Tony Lee, Football (1981-83); Rachel MacLeod, Women's Soccer (2010-13); Beth Rogers, Women's Swimming (2010-14); Ryan Wilkinson, Baseball (2011-14); and Robert Wohl, Men's Swimming (1976-79).

The 2025 Varsity T Hall of Fame induction banquet is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17 at Savage Arena. The class will also be introduced at halftime of the Rockets' football game vs. Kent State on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Receiving the Distinguished Service Award is Brent Reed, who has served on the Varsity T Club Board since 1998 and as Varsity T Club President since 2016.

Trinity Dawson, Football (2001-05)

Trinity Dawson was a two-time All-MAC running back, earning First-Team All-MAC honors in 2005 and Second-Team accolades in 2003. He finished his career ranking third in school history in rushing, and currently ranks sixth all-time with 3,474 rushing yards, while surpassing the 100-yard mark in 15 games. As a senior, Dawson rushed for 1,294 yards and led the Rockets to a 9–3 record, capped by a dominant 45–13 victory over UTEP in the 2005 GMAC Bowl, where he was named Offensive Player of the Game. That same year, he served as team captain, was named University of Toledo Sportsman of the Year, and was a Draddy Trophy Semi-Finalist, a national honor also known as the "Academic Heisman." Dawson's career highlights include a career-high 170 yards in a thrilling double-overtime win over Bowling Green and a 167-yard performance at Ohio. Despite an injury-shortened junior season in 2004, he still managed 427 rushing yards, including a 158-yard, two-touchdown outing against Western Michigan. As a sophomore, he ran for 999 yards and 10 touchdowns, highlighted by 156 yards in a critical win at Marshall. In his redshirt freshman season in 2002, Dawson broke into the starting lineup with 754 yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns, including 130 yards and four touchdowns in the MAC Championship Game, where he was named West Division Player of the Game. Off the field, Dawson was equally impactful. A business school graduate, he earned Academic All-MAC honors and was recognized on the Dean's Honor Roll and as a University of Toledo Academic Achiever from 2002 to 2004. He was also nominated for the NCAA Leadership Conference through the "Today's Student-Athletes, Tomorrow's Leaders" program (2003–2005), and received both the Jim Findlay Community Service Award (2003) and the Motor City Bowl "On the Move" Community Service Award (2004) for his dedication to service. Among many outreach efforts, he helped organize the annual wheelchair football game with the Toledo Crash and a touch football game with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Dan Kay, Wrestling (1980-83)

Dan Kay was a four-year letterwinner in wrestling at UT from 1980-83, winning three-straight MAC titles in 1981, 1982 and 1983 at 177 pounds. Kay redshirted his first year at UT due to a broken collarbone, but bounced back to place third in the MAC as a redshirt freshman in 1980. He was team captain in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He routinely led the team in wins and points scored and helped the Rockets win the MAC championship in his senior season. After graduating from UT in 1983 in marketing, Dan went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from UT in 1986. He was the Deputy District Attorney in Colorado Springs from 1987-97. Since 1997, Dan has been in private practice where he lives in Colorado Springs. He is very active in the Colorado Springs community, and is involved in numerous charitable organizations both in and outside the legal community. He also donates a percentage of his income to many diverse charities. He has continued his involvement in wrestling through coaching and legally representing Olympic wrestlers and coaches as needed. Dan and his wife Linda have raised three children and have also served as foster caregivers.

Tony Lee, Football (1981-83)

Tony Lee made first-team All-MAC as a placekicker in 1982 and 1983, yet he is probably best known for a kick he made in the 1981 California Bowl, a game-winning 41-yarder with just seconds left to give UT a 27-25 victory over San Jose State. An honorable mention All-America selection in 1982, Lee made 41-of-53 field goal attempts in his career, including 10-of-13 as a sophomore, 15-of-19 as a junior and 15-of-19 as a senior. He was 82-of-85 in extra points. His 205 points ranks fifth all-time among UT kickers. He also ranks seventh in career field goals (41) and sixth in field-goal percentage (77.3). His best game came against Central Michigan in 1982 when he booted four field goals. Lee was named to the Academic All-MAC team in both 1982 and 1983. After graduation, Lee was signed by the Cleveland Browns and went on to play one season for the USFL Pittsburgh Maulers. Lee also won two letters in track & field as a high jumper, with a top leap of 6-feet-8 inches. Lee retired in 2022 from Triway High School where he was an assistant principal. He also served as head football coach for eight years and holds the school record for the most wins in school history. He was named "Ohio Division IV Football Coach of the Year" in 2013.

Rachel MacLeod, Women's Soccer (2010-13)

Rachel MacLeod was a two-time first-team All-MAC player who scored 33 goals in her Rocket career, tied for the second-most in school history. Her 17 career assists is also tied for second all-time in the UT record books. MacLeod led the Rockets in goals for three consecutive seasons from 2011-13, earning team Offensive MVP honors all three seasons. In 2010, she scored five goals, helping the Rockets to a 15-4-2 record and a regular-season MAC Championship title. She was named MAC Freshman of the Year as well as being named to the MAC All-Freshman Team. As a sophomore in 2011, MacLeod led Toledo to regular-season and MAC Tournament Championship titles, paving the way for an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. MacLeod led the Rockets in goals (11) and assists (9) and was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-MAC, as well as earning a spot on the All-MAC Tournament Team. She was also named Third-Team All Great Lakes Region in 2011. As a junior, MacLeod again led the Rockets in goals (5) and assists (3). In her senior season in 2013, MacLeod was named a team captain, scoring a career-best 12 goals, the fourth-highest total in school history, and earning first team All-MAC for the second time in her career. After graduation, MacLeod served as director of soccer operations at UT for one season.

Beth Rogers, Women's Swimming (2010-14)

Beth Rogers was a four-time All-MAC swimmer, including three times on first team, from 2010-14 who won four MAC Championship titles in her four-year career. She still holds three school records in the 50 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 400 medley relay, and ranks second in the 100 butterfly. As a freshman, she earned collegeswimming.com Mid-Major All-American honorable mention and Second-Team All-MAC accolades after taking second in the 200 butterfly at the MAC Championships with a school-record time of 1:59.57. A year later, she won MAC titles in the 200 butterfly, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay, helping the Rockets win the 2012 MAC Championship title. She earned the first of her three first-team All-MAC honors, setting school records in the 50 freestyle (22.76), 100 butterfly (53.50) and 200 butterfly (1:57.87; MAC Record). She had 31 top-five finishes in 2012, all but two in the top two. Rogers was again named to the All-MAC First Team in 2013, with 14 first-place finishes during the season. She took third in the 100 fly and fourth in the 50 freestyle at the 2013 MAC Championship Meet. As a senior, Rogers took second place at MACs in the 100 and 200 fly, earning first-team All-MAC honors for the third time in her career.

Ryan Wilkinson, Baseball (2011-14)

Ryan Wilkinson was a three-time All-MAC pitcher for the baseball team, earning first-team all-league honors in 2013 and second-team accolades in 2012 and 2014. He ranks second in UT history in career wins (24), fifth in ERA (2.73), first in innings pitched (336.2), second in fewest walks (0.19 per inning), and 10th in complete games (11). For his career, Wilkinson was 24-13 with 191 strikeouts and just 65 walks. As a freshman, Wilkinson appeared in a team-high 25 games, going 4-1 with a 2.20 ERA in 45 innings pitched. The following season he was 7-4 with a 2.99 ERA, starting 11 games and helping the Rockets win the MAC West Division title. He ranked fourth in the MAC in wins and sixth in ERA, earning second-team all-league honors. As a junior, Wilkinson went 7-3 with a 2.82 ERA, nabbing first-team All-MAC honors. He ranked first in the MAC in complete games (6), second in innings pitched (111.2) and sixth in wins. As a senior, he was 6-5 with a 2.66 ERA in 101.2 innings pitched, completing four of his 14 starts and earning second-team all-league honors. Wilkinson was a two-time Academic All-MAC selection who earned his degree in civil engineering.

Robert Wohl, Men's Swimming (1976-79)

Robert Wohl became the first University of Toledo swimmer to win a MAC individual event at the 1979 Mid-American Conference Championship Meet. He won the 200-yard butterfly by touching out his younger brother, a swimmer from Kent State who was the favorite to win the event. He was named to the All-MAC team, was named Toledo's "Outstanding Swimmer" and earned the Outstanding Senior Scholar-Athlete Award and Leadership Excellence Award that season. When he finished his UT career, Wohl held six individual (200, 500 and 1000 freestyle; 100, 200 fly; 200 IM) and three relay (400 medley, 400 free, 800 free) school records. A Toledo St. Francis graduate, Wohl originally went to the University of Kentucky, but transferred to UT in January of 1976 and participated in the 1976-77 season. As a sophomore, he scored the most points during the dual-meet season. He placed third in the 200 butterfly, seventh in the 100 butterfly at the 1978 MAC Championships, scoring 20 points for the Rockets. Wohl went on to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the Rockets in the 1979-80 season. He went on to coach high school swimming at Toledo St. John's, Blue Springs (Missouri) and Findlay, Ohio, as well as an assistant at Ohio State. He retired from teaching in 2022.
