TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's track & field runner Laura Nicholson is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA East Preliminary Round of the Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. on Thursday, May 29-Saturday, May 31.

The senior will begin competition on Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. with the 1500m prelims and will run the quarterfinals on Saturday, if she qualifies. Nicholson will conclude the meet with the 5000m semifinals on Saturday.

In each event, the top 12 finishers will join the top 12 finishers from the West Preliminary Round (College Station, Texas) to complete in the field of 24 participants for the national championship meet. The 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.

Nicholson's qualifying times of 4:07.17 (1500m) and 15:33.04 (5000m) ranked seventh and 22^nd nationally, respectively.

The four-day event will be streamed on ESPN+.
