Toledo heading to Ohio University for second meet of outdoor season
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team continues its outdoor slate as the squad heads to the Cherry Blossom Invitational in Athens, Ohio on Friday. Ten Rockets will see action as competition begins at 12:30 p.m. with the 100m race.
Sophomore Nora Hark will compete alongside sprinters Sydney Caddell and Hailey Slagle. Also in action will be jumpers Addison Lee and Chloe Pyles and distance runners Jaydon Cirincione, Bella Earl, Olivia Gang, Margrett Watt and Lauren Zanotelli. Four men's runners will also compete including Sean Smith, Joshuah Taylor, Abi Yohanness and Tes Young.
LAST TIME OUT
Senior Laura Nicholson broke the program record in the 5000m at the Raleigh Relays with a final time of 15:33.04 for a second-place finish. Nicholson earned Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance. Hark also tallied the second-best javelin throw in program history with a final mark of 43.44m.
On the men's side, Dominic Serem competed in the 5000m event, breaking the school record with a mark of 13:33.98.
