FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Toledo softball team dropped its final game of the FGCU Spring Break Classic to Lehigh on Sunday, 8-1, in Fort Myers, Fla.
Toledo (5-14) got on the scoreboard first as a sac fly from
Jenna Bloomfield allowed
Sidney Griffith to cross home. Griffith recorded her 19
th run of the season, a team-best mark.
The Rockets were held to three hits by the Lehigh pitching staff. Lehigh scored in four of six innings, including four runs in the fifth inning to secure the victory.

How It Happened
- Toledo took a 1-0 lead in the first thanks to a sac fly from Jenna Bloomfield.
- Lehigh responded by scoring two of their own in the bottom of the first off a sac fly and a double.
- The Mountain Hawks added four runs in the fifth inning to take an 8-1 lead and would hold on for the win.

Toledo will open Mid-American Conference play against Western Michigan on Friday, March 14, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15 at Scott Park.
