Rockets claim five out of six singles courts to earn seventh win of the season

TAMPA, Fla. – The Toledo women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday afternoon. The Rockets claimed five out of six singles courts to secure the match victory.

Toledo (7-3) started the match off by clinching the doubles point. Gaby Rondon and Audrey Moutama earned a 7-6 (9-7) win on the No. 1 court while Annika Munson and Neha Guru combined for a 6-4 win on the No. 2 court.

In singles play, the Rockets recorded four straight-set wins. Rondon took a 6-3, 6-4 win on the No. 2 court while Jone Ibanez claimed the No. 3 court behind a 6-1, 6-3 victory. Freshman Catherine Rhegness took down HCC's Johanna Marten 6-1, 6-2 on the No. 6 court, moving to 4-0 in singles matches this season. Munson tallied a 6-1, 6-1 win on the No. 5 court.

Moutama earned the final singles win for the Rockets on the No. 1 court in a tiebreaker 6-3, 5-7, 10-5.

Toledo will begin Mid-American Conference play on Sunday, March 16 as Miami comes to TWOs Athletic Club. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
