Toledo to Compete at Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate Next Week

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team will travel to North Carolina early next week for the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate on Monday-Tuesday, March 10-11. The Rockets will play 36 holes on the first day followed by 18 holes on the final day at the par-72, 6,723-yard Mid Pines Club in Southern Pines, N.C.

The tournament will be streamed by Babygrandegolf.com with an alt-cast – "The No Glaze Zone" – that will air at 2:00 p.m. each day of coverage. The broadcast team will include PGA Tour players Tripp Isenhour and Steve Scott, longtime Golf Channel broadcaster David Marr III and University of Virginia women's head coach Ria Scott.

The Field
Toledo will be competing against a 20-team field that includes Bowling Green, Chattanooga, Dayton, Elon, George Mason, Georgetown, George Washington, Loyola (Chicago), Loyola (Md.), Ohio, Old Dominion, St. Bonaventure, St. John's, Saint Joseph's, Seton Hall, South Dakota, Towson, William & Mary, and Xavier.

The Donald Ross Collegiate is in its fifth year. Loyola (Md.) is the defending champion and the only two-time winner of the event.

Tournament Lineup
Toledo's lineup will consist of junior Mads Jensen at the No. 1 position followed by senior CJ van Wyk at No. 2, sophomore Mason Deal at No. 3, freshman Julius Lange at No. 4, and senior Jamie Butler at No. 5.

Last Time Out
CJ van Wyk tied for 16^th place at four-under par 212 to lead Toledo in its first tournament of the spring at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz. on Feb. 16-18. Mason Deal also finished with a one-under par 215 in the tournament.
